PRESIDENT'S WELCOME
Welcome to the website of Durham University Choral Society, affectionately known as DUCS. We are one of Durham University’s largest and oldest musical societies, having performed and put on our own concerts continuously for nearly seventy years. We rehearse every Monday evening and aim to provide all members with a friendly and inclusive environment to attain the highest standard of singing possible. DUCS puts on a concert every term providing members with opportunities to perform in a wide variety of concert venues including the iconic Durham Cathedral. We recruit new members every October and January.
DUCS are also very pleased to rehearse and perform under the musical direction of our professional conductor, Daniel Cook, Master of the Choristers and Organist of Durham Cathedral.
