How do I sign up for an audition?

To sign up for an audition, you must attend the DSU Freshers’ Fair at the Students’ Union. All the information about the fair you need will provided to you by your college during Freshers’ Week. You can also keep up to date with information by following our social media pages.

What can I expect from the audition?

Auditions usually last 5 minutes. There are a series of vocal and oral tests followed by a short extract of sight-reading. We aim to make the audition process as relaxed as possible!

What standard should I be?

We don't require incoming members to have done any music exams. If you have any doubts, talk to one of the exec members at the Freshers' Fair.

When do I find out?

The outcomes of the audition will be emailed to you within 1 to 2 days the day after the last auditions.
